PJ playing full albums live

Post by PryTo »

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this (or maybe I missed it). I'm not the biggest fan of live PJ these days. I had a ticket to the Lincoln show and decided I just didn't care enough to go and sold it. Not sorry after seeing the setlist, either. But I have to give credit where it's due. They've played No Code and Yield all the way through, in order, at their last couple of shows. That's something they haven't done before, at least with these albums, and it's cool to see them doing something new with the set lists after doing the same-old, same-old for the last five + years. It would have been fun to see these shows. (Still wish they'd do something with those gawdawful second encores, though.) Seems like a good challenge for them + it's something different. Wonder if they'll do Binaural or Riot Act. I'm legitimately shocked they didn't just play Ten straight through. Props.

There is also a rumor that Bush will be playing Backspacer in its entirety in honor of Skitch's last day before winter break.

I like the Tour forum. It should be a sub forum of Live, though.

The fact that "Tour" and "Live" are separate forums is just the dumbest thing

i do get a feeling that 2015 will be a light year on shows. the lb touring cycle appears to be over and i can see them separating for a bit to do side projects (i expect at the very least rndm will have something out next year) and family stuff.

I feel the same way. A few shows here and there. Ed's got a full album in the can from the out of the furnace sessions. Maybe they played both Yield and No code to include as a DVD release for a possible No code yield box set.

i have to think so. the b-sides from these records are already out there on lost dogs, so it's probably not like they can mine their archives for many unheard tracks. i suspect these shows will be the bonus cds (or dvds like you said) in the deluxe packages, and the extra vinyl in the SUPER DELUXE!!!!1 will be live on two legs or, if we're lucky, a 96/98 show featuring jack (like berlin 96 or melbourne 98, for example).

Hole deluxe remaster was near, I think so, but after all I prefer this shows (2014) won't be included in the box. First because you can get them now for some bucks and second because it should be a concert of that era (waiting soothing inedit in 1996 for instance). I don't expect DVD anyway

Any way I though the day they play full records that the box have to be near ....
