My first Pearl Jam show. First four songs: Do the Evolution, Corduroy, Save You, Deep

:bammer: :bammer: :bammer:
This was my second show after the also excellent St Louis show. It's probably the bootleg I listen to the most. The version of crazy Mary is my all time favorite.

I listened to the Church Audio CA-11 cards source of Wrigley. Probably the best sounding source of the bunch.

Sirius likes to play shows on/around their anniversaries so I should not have been surprised to catch the last few songs from Honolulu '06 a little earlier. One of the gems from that tour.
And I was there. 8-)

Look, I know I blathered about how little I've enjoyed the recent bootlegs only a few days ago, but I listened to Memphis yesterday and it was, for the most part, pretty great. They actually seemed to pick up steam in the encores with some great versions of Crazy Mary, Alive and Rockin' in the Free World at the tail end of the show.

Listening to the Lincoln show again. It is pretty remarkable how Ed's voice has seemed to improve since 2013. I don't know what he did differently but there is far less warbling and breathing issues. Hopefully he can maintain it.

I agree with the last two posts based on what I've heard on PJ radio on Sirius. I don't have time to sit down and listen to full shows any more but I catch certain bits in my car. For the first time in a long time, it feels like the band got better and not worse in the last 12 months. The only criticism I really have is Ed talks way too much. I think he's channelled his inner-Springsteen a bit too much and is way too comfortable and having way too much fun (angry Ed, or Ed with a cause was obviously more focused in his performance). The trade off is we get 30-35 song shows each night however.

Ed definately sounds alot better in 2014 then he did in 2013, I guess he really couldn't do 26 shows in 2 months anymore. But he is basically pulling a springsteen buy talking alot during shows. Spen, I listened to memphis and wasn't to impressed. I thought that and the 2nd acl were not that great. I am on detroit. Listenened to both the no code and yield shows. Moline was great, Milwakuee, ok. I got 2 shows left and then the work gets going.

To an extent, I think we all respond to slightly different things in the shows. As much as everyone loved Leeds, I thought it was pretty unmemorable.

As embarassing as this is on some level (think of what else I could've done with that time for one thing), I've listened to enough Pearl Jam shows by now to develop certain things I end up looking for in what I'd consider really good performances. I focus a great deal on Mike and Stone's guitar work, oddball tone choices or fumbled parts can easily knock a show down in my estimation.
