I realllllllly wish I could play Ep. 1 of Game of Thrones on my day off tomorrow. I hope this PS3 delay is only for the first episode, and not something I have to deal with when each new one is released.

I got Sly Cooper 3 and The God Of War Trilogy for $9.99 each. I probably wont get to them for months but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Well I went in on Black Friday and got myself an Xbox One, and I'm very pleased with it.

A Microsoft Store had just opened up here in New Orleans, and I learned that they do trade-ins (many of the values were a bit better than what GameStop was offering)

They had a good deal where they'd give me $100 bucks for my old PS3, so I got the Assassin's Creed bundle, and they gave me a free game along with it to boot (my choice of any game in the store, so I went with Dragon Age: Inquisition Deluxe Edition).

I'm playing the hell out of some Dragon Age and Shadow of Mordor right now, it's been a good holiday!

I've enjoyed the hell out of my XB1 since launch. They've consistently made improvements to it with monthly updates and it continues to get better.

I'd recommend Sunset Overdrive. So much fun.

To be honest, I don't think it affects S2 that much, if I recall correctly. I think it's mostly nuances here and there.

Started playing Farcry 4 the other day....SO MUCH TO DO...from the minute you're set loose into the world the game bombards you with side quests and the thing is, none of them feel like they're put there to simply pad out the game. besides the usual hunting/racing/assasination side games, there are a lot of randomly generated events that you can join in or avoid at your discretion. it can get a little overwhelming sometimes, like a few times i've been racing back to repel an attack on an outpost when a random citizen needs help or I pass an enemy convoy that I could take out but you have just a couple seconds to choose what to do. these are minor choices with no real consequences but it still makes the game feel exciting.

I just replayed Farcry 3 a couple months ago so it's still fresh in my mind. the gameplay is very familiar but with a lot of enhancements and improvements. A major standout is that a lot of the crafting has been streamlined, especially the syringe boosters. Health syringes auto-craft without any prompt, while the rest are accessed from a submenu from the on-screen weapon selection. Enemies are a lot smarter and are really good at spotting you. Once spotted they won't just storm your position, some will flank and try to flush you out. This game is a lot tougher. For example, in Farcry 3 there were a few little exploits you could use to keep safe from animals, like climbing on a car to avoid a pack of wild dogs or a roof to avoid a larger predator. Farcry 4 says fuck that. I've been mercilessly ripped to shreds by packs of dogs (repeatedly) and one time i got TIGER-ed to death on a rooftop because it's a motherfucking apex predator OF COURSE it can climb onto the roof of a one floor shanty and chew on my neck for fun. Now anytime i hear a tiger nearby my heart starts racing cause i know i've got a couple seconds to get out of there before i'm forced to panic and foolishly unload half my ammo into it before i'm safe.

Anyways, great fucking game. I've barely scratched the surface and i've uncovered maybe 1/5th of the map by the looks of things. So much fun.

I've been playing this a bit as of late too. This time though instead of just trying to get through the map as quick as possible (Like I did in Far Cry 3) - I'm taking my time exploring the different areas - picking up all the idols and junk along the way before moving onto the next section. I quite like that you can throw bait into an enemy outpost and have wild animals take out half the enemy before you head on in
