whatever guys. You try watching this movie in one sitting and not getting thrown into a rage at everything in your life that conspired to put it in front of you.

I am watching the 'Before Sunrise' series. I've seen the first two this week, and loved them both. I can't wait to see Before Midnight and I really hope that they keep making more of these.
I think I really appreciate cinema that takes advatage of actual time. It doesn't happen a lot in the movies. Other than these movies, I can really only think of Boyhood and the Up series. Yes, there are series like Rambo and Star Wars that were made over a generaion, but they don't use actual time in the same way. It's not a fundamental element.
Obviously, it happens in television. But there are so many episodes and a season every year, so you don't feel the jump in the same way.

I'm sure you'll love Before Midnight. It's leagues better than the first two, and that's not a knock on the first two.

Yeah, the series improves with each entry. I'm lukewarm on Sunrise, but yes, Sunset is terrific. Especially that ending, hoo-boy. But Midnight is just on another level.

Have you seen The Limey? That does some interesting, semi-experimental stuff with time and aging. I wouldn't say it has the same focus on it as the Linklater stuff (that dude is obsessed with it), but interesting nonetheless.
