Braves sign Markakis so they can dump Justin Upton now or trade Gattis and leave Justin Upton in left for another year.
So were back to the days of average players and middling finishes because they won't just take their damn lumps.

Yeah, Markakis really isn't that good. I was worried the Jays were going to look at him for their LF spot.Electromatic wrote:Braves sign Markakis so they can dump Justin Upton now or trade Gattis and leave Justin Upton in left for another year.

I was pretty shocked that the Braves non-tendered Medlen. I like that kid a lot and hope he lands on his feet. Two TJs? Shitty luck.

And it's the Yankees for 4/$36 million.numbers wrote:Yeah that's a HUGE risk for a relief pitcher that has never closed, and that's coming from someone that loves Miller and wants his team to sign him badly.philpritchard wrote:So apparently Miller is closing in on a deal for about 4/$40 million.
Um... I know the Jays need bullpen help right now, but... please not the Jays, please not the Jays, please not the Jays...
It looks like they're aiming to win a lot of 1-0 games next year.

According to Rosenthal and Heyman, Lester will pick between SF and the Cubs. Every Red Sox beat writer is categorically denying this, but they are known for being the propaganda wing of the Red Sox front office. I never believed that the Red Sox truly wanted Lester back, and if their offer wasn't close enough to put them as a finalist that confirms it.

A Sale - Quintana - Samardzija - Rodon rotation could make for a fun summer on the South Side.

Wow, yesterday was a big day for the White Sox. That's a ton of money for Robertson, but now the Laroche signing makes more sense.
