Or have we already determined that it's not?
It's not. It's missing a song.
Do we know if it's a different mix/source or anything? Or does it basically sound the exact same? I guess it will be nice to have something other than the mp3 rip that I have.

From seeing that no one has the vinyl yet, I guess nobody really knows.

Some people in Europe have it. Rumor has it that a few people got double records (i.e., 2 Sides C/D).

And others reported only receiving one disc period.

I've bought the digital files, I presume plenty of others have too.

I never listened to the broadcast but I doubt it's going to be a substantially different mix, it will just be in substantially better quality than transcoded junk recorded from a digital radio broadcast.

Good lord, what a bunch of whiny, entitled, unpleasant jerks.
Agreed.

And frankly, I'm glad the tapes exist at all. I'd love them to release a complete show, but if all they have is incomplete tapes they should just hire Lowlight, Ridley, you or me to make a mix and release that. If they gave me $100, a case of wine and access to the Pacific Rim 1998 tour on the condition I have a month to make them a mix to release, I'd fucking agree to that in a second.
I've emailed 10C management about this. I made a solid case for you guys and as a moderator my email should get through and have some pull.
:haha:

I've actually received quite a few PMs via the Pit over the years urging me to approach 10C about selling copies of my Live On 3 Legs mix via Kufala/Nugs :)

As for the whining, I think that the level of whinging about 10C not being up front about the missing song is a bit OTT, but the complaints about not sending an mp3 download link to those who purchased the vinyl (5 months ago mind you!) are completely justified (especially given it this was done for Vault #3). Apparently someone who asked about this was simply sent a link to purchase the digital files separately.

I just compared the mix of 'Grievance' on the Light Years single to the Vault #4 mix and it is definitely warmer (kind of like Euro vs NA 2000 boots) and less compressed. Someone on the Pit raised the possibility that the HD-FLAC version is an upscale, as apparently the 2000 boots were recorded in 16-bit only.

Anybody able to create a 'Dead Man' patch using the FM or AUD sources? I have the FLAC, FM and AUD if interested.

Chud, you did the COnstitution Hall patches, right? It is excellent!

Thanks!

I did but this wouldn't require a patch like those. The entire song is missing here so just insert it from another source into your playlist.

It's really good. Lyric flubs in Of The Girl are a little disappointing though, especially right at the start of the show.

An update to all Vault #4 vinyl purchasers:

We have received our stock of Vault #4 Vinyl today from Europe. Due to the
inadequate packaging provided by the manufacturer, we will need to repackage the
vinyl before shipping. We had hoped to have these out and arriving by the end of
2014 in the US. Due to the repackaging, holidays, etc, we are now on track for
shipping early Jan 2015.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Happy Holidays!

So it might be March before I get it then....

No, not the same thing, but multiple issues. Last year, I believe it was rooted in poor communication between 10C and Nugs.

I definitely recall 10c mentioning issues on someone elses end that have stalled their proposed deliver. As in, passing the buck.

Yeah, I can understand their surprise that they were actually going to have put these things in BOXES before shipping them out. If only they had 5 months to plan for this.
