So mike did an interview http://t.co/3UewlZPrY7 where he states that the new one has 'punk and psychadelic' influences. These two things do not go together and I doubt this band have the magic to make it happen.

He also said numerous things about how it hasn't all come together yet. Not sure which direction. he also said HE wrote the psychedelic song (or pink floydish) and punky numbers, and ed wrote some garage rockers and really beautiful pieces, and matt wrote an "ethereal/u2 like" composition.

Speaking of creed I know some people who like Altered Bridge. I don't like them and I think Myles Kennedy is as generic as it gets. Good but generic. I think my perception of them was a bit preconceived due to Creed.

I still like Ole. Good little throwaway song with a nice finish. I certainly enjoy it more than The Fixer.

That being said, I hope its not on the album. And, its not reflective of the type of songs they aspire to make for the album.

not that either are accurate, but it's easy to picture "motorhead-like" and "punk and psychedelic" co-existing. Meld Vitalogy and Riot Act, or something along those lines.
