I guess i'm the only one who thought that was a pretty stupid ending. I get that he had to die, and the way it played out was pretty much how i predicted it would happen so I don't really have a problem with that, but the corny symbolism was so over the top that my wife and i were both goofing on that entire final scene. i doubt that's what Sutter had in mind, but he could stand a lesson or two in subtlety.

lol fucking biker jesus
I'm with you man, so over the top corny and pointless. The only way this season/series could have somewhat redeemed itself is if Chibs actually put a bullet in Jax' head. Like g2t said, the fact that he didn't made that whole scene pointless and made the club code seem incredibly weak too. The cgi, the crows flying by, the punk version of can't help falling in love during the terrible car chase. Just ugh. I will say though that Hunnam's acting was pretty good the last 3 episodes or so. Also glad that jimmy smits and the kids got out of it alive.
meh...thought it was a dud to be honest..I think Sutter must have had to some extra money and made that over the top and useless car chase..good riddance
Most finales aren't that good, so I wasn't that disappointed. Kind of irked by what the end game ended up being, but I thought the 3 episodes before the finale were fucking fantastic.
I realize this thread should stay at the bottom, but I just have to add my 2 cents regarding the last season. SOA was such a good program for so long and then body count started to resemble a video game. The arc was far too long and a couple of seasons could of been sweated under the rug.

I don't know when I realized that Jax was going to die with his arms outstretched a la Jesus, but I know it was a long time ago. This whole season was a mess (last season too) and the finale was no exception. What a waste of time.
I just started watching this show, having tried a couple times before. Only about 4 eps into the first season. Its a pretty ridiculous show, but somehow I'm enjoying it so far. Its almost like the A-Team. A bunch of bullets fly and no one really gets hurt. I'll keep watching.

anyone interested in the Bastard Executioner? I loved SOA for awhile, but each season got worse and worse, until those ridiculous last two seasons. They were barely watchable. Not holding out much hope for the new one.
