I also remember a 80s made for tv movie about Russia invading the US and killing congress. I was kinda terrified by that one too.

Yeah, I haven't seen it since that day and I bet I would recognize it in an instant as well. It was scarring.

Side note: Steven's brother ended up being a serial killer at Yosemite National Park. I don't know if this became a lifetime movie, though.

I was about to say I'm not sure an alien movie could really scare me, but then I remembered Signs. That movie still freaks the shit out of me every time I watch it.

On Signs: The scene with the shakey home video at the child's birthday party--when we first see one of the aliens--was very well executed. Then it turned to shit.
