Hard to answer. Jumanji and Blade 2 scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. I remember being traumatized for the duration of those movies. Evil Dead was pretty freaky.Iprefertheiroldstuff wrote:What's the scariest movie you've ever seen, Dev?

-Ruggles of Red Gap (1935)
Funny and touching, with a great performance from Charles Laughton. This really should be more widely acknowledged as a classic comedy.
-Alice in Wonderland (1933)
I believe this is the first live-action, feature adaptation. It's very weird, very absurd, and occasionally very creepy and upsetting. In other words, I really liked it. And Gary Cooper, W.C. Fields, and Cary Grant all make appearances!

Nightcrawler. It was good but maybe I was expecting something less ridiculous, because this movie was highly fucking ridiculous. Lol at the local news ever showing that footage.
Gylenhall was fun to watch though.

Didn't finish Perks of being a wallflower..i'll go back later i guess..
did watch and thoroughly enjoy The Riot Club. Posh English college snobs in a secret club, being debaucherous and murderous and getting away with it cos they're posh. Based on an actual secret club that's had a lot of of its members go on to be British Prime Ministers & power mongers/captains of industry..
well worth a watch.

Did you find the characters to be poorly written? I just couldn't suspend my disbelief watching that movie. No group of human beings is like that.dimejinky99 wrote:Didn't finish Perks of being a wallflower..i'll go back later i guess..
Also, Emma Watson being an indie chick and not knowing Bowie's "Heroes" is unforgivable. That sounds overly pretentious, but it's true.

ok well having finished i guess i can see what you mean, but just cos you or I didnt have friends lke that at that important age, doesnt mean nobody did. I know a lot of friends of mine have close social groups like that who they've known since they were in diapers and do actually have those bonds and experiences similar to those in the films...lucky bastids..

Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948). The first 10-15 are virtuoso filmmaking. The rest is funny and enjoyable, with a few noteworthy moments. Adam Sandler should remake it.
