Played the first round of the year last week. Short game was crap, but that is to be expected. Can't wait to play in the morning and watch the Masters in the afternoon this weekend.

Looking forward to the hushed tones of Jim Nantz as he reads into the psyches of Woods, Mickelson, and McIlroy.
I'm going to dust off my clubs and play 9 on Thurs.

Jim Nantz should do every golf tournament. And Johnny Miller should do none.EJ wrote:Looking forward to the hushed tones of Jim Nantz as he reads into the psyches of Woods, Mickelson, and McIlroy.

I just can't stand how technical Miller is. I don't want to hear about the direction of the green's grain.doug rr wrote:Funny, I'm just the oppositeMonkey_Driven wrote:Jim Nantz should do every golf tournament. I like that he can criticize players and not back off like all the other announcers..pretty happy about the handicap..i probably spend too many hours chipping and putting but its paying offMonkey_Driven wrote:I just can't stand how technical Miller is. I don't mind him criticizing, but he does it way too much. Not every swing is going to be absolutely perfect.doug rr wrote:I like that he can criticize players and not back off like all the other announcers..pretty happy about the handicap..i probably spend too many hours chipping and putting but its paying offMonkey_Driven wrote:I just can't stand how technical Miller is. My goal is to spend a lot more time at the range this year. I'd like to get more consistent with my short irons. The weird weather we've been having has not helped.

I can't stand Johnny Miller. Just comes across as a pompous ass. I like Faldo though. And I swear to God, if Chris Berman is the main man for ESPN's Thurs/Fri coverage, I'm gonna lose it.

Berman is by far the worst golf commentator out there. My TV will be on mute if he's on.bodysnatcher wrote:I can't stand Johnny Miller. Just comes across as a pompous ass. I like Faldo though. And I swear to God, if Chris Berman is the main man for ESPN's Thurs/Fri coverage, I'm gonna lose it.

Van Pelt has been doing all the pre-tournament coverage, so I'm hoping he'll be at the helm. I think he was last year. Berman usually does the US Open i thinkMonkey_Driven wrote:Berman is by far the worst golf commentator out there. My TV will be on mute if he's on.bodysnatcher wrote:I can't stand Johnny Miller. Van Pelt is decent. Let's hope it's him and Andy North.bodysnatcher wrote:Van Pelt has been doing all the pre-tournament coverage, so I'm hoping he'll be at the helm. I think he was last year. What's everyone's favorite hole to watch at Augusta? Mine is 13.

Isn't hole 10 supposedly the hardest?
