The Tea Thread
This is a thread about tea and tea-related topics. After a life spent spurning tea in favor of coffee, I've been getting into drinking this stuff lately. Just got a box of Taj Mahal loose leaves and I'm loving it. Please share your tea news, observations, and opinions in this thread. Thank you.

Re: The Tea Thread
Coincidentally, after about 2 years, I tapped into my stash of green tea today (I have a pretty nasty cold). I used to drink about 3 cups a day.

my wife is australian, so i drink tea often. i probably enjoy it more than coffee, but it doesn't give me the same caffeine jolt.

i will take the high road by ignoring your ugly stereotyping to say that i enjoy tea in all its forms--hot, cold, loose leaf, sweet, etc.spike wrote:you're certainly the most qualified, having several relatives currently incarcerated.Alex wrote:i reluctantly accept the responsibility of talking about sweet tea in lenny's stead
any and every tea is fair game for me, as it should be. sweet tea is merely one incarnation to enjoy, one that deserves a place at a traditional southern meal--a meal with flavors you yankees have never experienced.

Re: The Tea Thread
I once made a comprehensive ranking of absolutely everything and sweet tea was ranked just behind "Shitting yourself in public" and just ahead of "The Big Bang Theory" (the tv show, not the actual theory)
