Trivia time - Most played song since 2000?

Post by WaitingForBluey »

Without looking it up of course, name the song from the last four studio albums which has been played live the most? (Binaural, Riot Act, S/T and Backspacer album tracks only!)

I would guess either Save You, Breakerfall, or Grievance.

They didn't even play this every night in 2000.

My guess would be Life Wasted or Save You. But it wouldn't surprise me if it was something else from s/t, or even The Fixer.

I'm figuring it most likely has to be a song that was both frequently played on the 2000 tour and has stuck around as a semi-regular ever since, so it almost certainly must be either Grievance or Insignificance. But we'll see, I guess.

I’d guess Insignificance. But Save You might be close. It misses a shitload of shows on the 2000 tour. But was pretty much played all over the 2003 tour and has remained somewhat of a regular, as opposed to any Binaural song.

Insignificance because of the 00 tour. Save You if 00 isn't included.

Agreed. I'm sure some of the PJ snobs have bad words for this song, but it just rocks and is really awesome, even if it is musically a sort of Porch rehashed.

Considering that Severed Hand and WWS haven't been around as long as much as the stuff from Binaural and Riot Act, I'd expect that in 5 or so years from now, this list will be top-heavy with S/T tracks, including Life Wasted. Although they'll probably also be plenty of Backspacer up there too, The Fixer, Just Breathe, Unthought Known.

I thought I remembered Insignificance played non-stop in 2000 then slowly disappearing. I guessed Breakerfall first, possibly because I've seen it played a bunch I guess. I also humbly submit that it is the perfect rock out song for the #2 position in a setlist because of the "I Can See For Miles" build up at the beginning into just rockin' Pearl Jam. A song like that after Release/Long Road/Oceans is just the ideal start to a Pearl Jam show for me.
