Didn't get to watch this game so I missed this pass. Holy shit. He already has some of the prettiest throws I've ever seen.

Re: 2014 NFL Season
Alright, let's pick the Divisional round. I'll take:
Ravens
Broncos
Seahawks
Packers
If the Ravens that played last week show up for this game, it's hard not to love their chances. Flacco kills it in the post season. The Pats have some big weaknesses. And it seems they're starting to cool off just as the Ravens are heating up. Plus, Flacco's had their number in the past. I won't be surprised if I'm wrong here, and frankly, I'll be rooting for the Pats. But if I were a betting man, I'd bet on Baltimore.
The Broncos should be a slam dunk. But Luck is the real fucking deal. He's already proven that he can throw the entire team on his back and will a win. His post season performances are beautiful to watch, unless your team is on the other side of the line of scrimmage, then Luck is a monster that makes you want to kill yourself. So, there could be an upset here, but I doubt it. The Broncos are a better team than the Colts. And they're balanced. And let's not forget, I don't care how old he is or how badly he trends in postseason play, the Broncos still have Peyton fucking Manning. For the Colts to win, Luck will have to have a tremendous game (and probably have to catch a few breaks). Manning, on the other hand, can have a lackluster game and the Broncos could pull it out because of their talent on both sides of the ball.
Seahawks. That is all.
Cowboys v Packers should be the game of the weekend. The 'boys are undefeated on the road. I'll say that again. That's amazing. And didn't the Giants boast that same stat one of the years that they won it all? However, The Pack are 8-0 at home. And "The Frozen Tundra" is a helluva home field advantage. Especially against a team housed in a climate controlled dome in the heat of Texas.
Obviously, both teams have major star power on offense. And Romo and Rodgers are phenomenal, NFL dot com says they are the two highest rated passers in NFL history. Romo is having the best season of his career and Rodgers is nursing an injury. In the air, these teams have the ability to go the distance, punch for punch. I think the Cowboys best bet is DeMarco Murray. The Packers have been less than stellar (read: terrible) against the run, and Murray is the best in the game this year, regardless of diminishing stats the past few weeks. If the Cowboys can get Murray going and keep Rogers off the field, they have more than a fair shot at pulling this one out.
I'm not a gambler, I don't pay attention to the Vegas lines, so I'm not sure who is favored or by how much, but I gotta think this one should be close either way. I'm going to go with the home team here only because it's The Packers at Lambeau. Plus, I love Aaron Rodgers and I want to see him take ever more snaps this post-season. He's just so much fun to watch.

It would be nice to see the Ravens win because it would give HFA to the Broncos if they win, but I think this Pats team is for real, especially at home.

Totes. They seem super legit. But they might just be primed for a burn. And there's so mug swagger in this Ravens team. Again, I'll be rooting for the Pats, as I think they're the better team AND I'd like to see Brady v Manning again in the title game, but I have a weird feeling about the Ravens.Green Habit wrote:NE

Though, to be fair, my weird feelings are almost always misleading.

Re: 2014 NFL Season
I'll go against the general consensus and take the Cowboys over Packers this weekend.
I think this the only potentially close matchup of all 4 games. If the Cowboys can dominate the line of scrimmage on offense, and running the crap out of Murray. Rogers is less than 100%. It doesn't look like Rogers will be able to do his patented roll outs from the pocket that always destroy the defenses.
The rest:
NE
Seattle
Denver

I have this weird love-hate relationship with ol' Rodgie. He's the star QB for my favorite team's eternal rival yet I can't deny the man-crush I feel for his expert play, positive attitude, and moderately good looks. The fact that I married a girl from Sheboygan has made it difficult for me to muster the proper amount of meatball anger.

Absolutely.
She often talks about facial resemblances that #12 and I share, to be taken as a form of compliment, but I think it's really her attempt to plant the idea of justification in my mind so that she can continue to swoon over him guilt-free.
Also, if she were to get the chance to fuck him she could blame it on the alcohol and say she thought it was me.

Seattle
Packers
Broncos
*If the Pats can get by Baltimore, I think they will win the AFC regardless of the opponent. However, they should really be 0-3 in the playoffs vs. Baltimore, instead of 1-2. So, the nod goes to Baltimore until NE proves it can hang with Flacco and Co.
