Looks like the actor who plays Davos is a submarine captain or something on Doctor Who this weekend.

Trailer is here.

I kinda get what you're saying, but why would you tell your liege that your son burned his castle?
Added spoiler block. Not sure if that was revealed yet.
no need for a spoiler, when Rob gets word of winterfell being taken, Bolton says right there in his tent that his bastard is a few days from winterfell and could send word. We know that it was Bolton's bastard's force that took winterfell. This all happened in the show.

bolton is the clean shaven dude, correct? and so his bastards group was the one who had the horn blower theon (hilariously) despised? man, i'm going to have to watch these again because this must have went right over my head. i really have no idea what is going on in winterfell since none of the familiar characters are there. maybe theon i guess. the smoking city in the credits is a nice touch, though.

Yeah, the music was a real departure from the norm. Next thing you know they'll be advertising dog collars with house themes and colors.

not really, its a song from the books, perfomed by The Hold Steady
the bolton squad were singing it during a part of the episode

Tyrion dragging the chair was literally laugh out loud funny.

This was a really good episode. The humor with the chair scene and the POD scene was so much fun.

Edmure Tully and the Blackfish were great. I really like the blackfish and i like how they just propped him up as a bad ass from the start.

The Dany's scenes seemed to work but they need to stop draggin that stuff out and get to it. Loved Jeor and Barriston butting heads a little.

The end w/Jamie i could not help but cringe.

Loved the goodbye scene with Arya and Hotpie

that's what sets it apart from the rest of the show, psychobain. to my knowledge, they haven't done anything like that before. i loved it, it fit the "OMG" moment with Jaime that preceded it, but the style of the song (not who wrote it or where its from, for fucks sake) is a change for the show.

I didn't think it fit very well with the final scene, but I don't really like that style of music so it's hard to judge it fairly. The "Rains of Castermere" version by The National was pretty bad-ass and and a much better fit.

D&D (show producers) said in an interview they wanted it to use soemthing different there. They wanted it to be striking and jarring just like chopping off Kingslayers hand was.

I tend to think that it did what they wanted it to do, but i agree with borken iris although they implemented their plan I don't think it was a good plan. I did not think it fit the end it was more of a distraction.

But when the song in the credits are what i'm most disapointed about i'm coutning that as a win for the show. Overall my fav this season easily.

Given that that same song was sung by Jaime's captors at the beginning of the episode in a wildly different context, I thought the song fit well at the end.

The end of last night's episode is exactly why I'm glad I waited to catch up with the books before watching on TV. The surprise was so rewarding.
