Was going to - then read a lot of write ups on it and decided to give it a miss
I thought it was pretty good. pretty informative for a guy who knows nothing of that story. I think the critics were unfair to the movie.

I watched it with my brother and he hated it (I think mostly because it was a story out of the Bible) I think I liked it, but a lot of that might have just been a response to his overwhelming negativity.

yeah, atheists tend to write off anything with religious subject matter, but I figure you can still get other things from them without buying in. If anything, just analyze the story, and question if it has any value.

i might heed your warning. it's probably not a good movie for someone who disbelieves in both god and russell crowe.

You don't have to believe in God to enjoy it any more than you would have to believe in ghosts to enjoy a horror movie.

Oh - I don't think a having a disbelief in God will affect your viewing of this. A belief in God however, might. As for Russel - well, he's pretty much just Russel Crowe in this

I watched one called 88.
I'm not sure if it's an homage to 90's movies with mtv editing and weird lighting but it was a bit of a chore. Don't bother with it.

Foxcatcher is good. Carrell owns that part. Never would have thought him capable but by about his third line you're in and don't even see him as carrell anymore. Great stuff from him.
Fucked up story though.

Big Eyes
worth a watch. Looks good and almost seems unbelievable but based on a true story.

Foxcatcher was....ok. It seemed like they were trying too hard to won a fucking oscar...the pacement, the edition..it was trying too hard to be a "classy" movie.

The acting was....distracting...only Ruffalo was fine, Tatum was trying too hard and Carell...well..it just makeup.

American Sniper - really liked this. Clint Eastwood knows how to make a good film
