Agree, 100%. Well said, Coach.Coach wrote:*If the Pats can get by Baltimore, I think they will win the AFC regardless of the opponent. However, they should really be 0-3 in the playoffs vs. Baltimore, instead of 1-2. So, the nod goes to Baltimore until NE proves it can hang with Flacco and Co.

Thanks. I just have an awful pit in my stomach about Baltimore and the NY Giants. Clearly, those are two teams that are not afraid of the Pats and match up very well. Ugh. Fingers crossed.durdencommatyler wrote:Agree, 100%. Well said, Coach.Coach wrote:*If the Pats can get by Baltimore, I think they will win the AFC regardless of the opponent. Like you, I'm worried about the Ravens and I think they'll win. But I'm rooting for the Pats. And, like you said, IF they can best the Ravens, they'll be the AFC rep in the Bowl.
Now, here's a funny Pats themed gif:

I am a Pats fan from way back when the games were blacked out on local TV and I sat home as a kid listening to the games on the radio...always believed they'd somehow become good, as there were moments ('86, '96) that kept ya believing.durdencommatyler wrote:Are you a Pats fan, Coach?Coach wrote:Thanks. Since my prediction, I've read up a bit more on the Ravens and the lack of Lewis and Ed Reed has me a bit more optimistic. Forgot how much trouble Reed gave Brady.
The strength up the middle for Baltimore is no longer there...still...

I'm rooting for The Cowboys and Colts to go all the way. So tired of the Ravens/Pats.

i'd say every team left besides the colts and panthers have a chance at taking the whole thing. wide open field.

Luck definitely gives the Colts a chance. His close game theatrics and general awesomeness is enough to overcome a lot.

NYG defense ranked 20th overall in defense DVOA in 2011, but yes, they were 11th in Adjusted Sack Rate, so their D-Line was the best aspect of the team. I think it's fair to categorize the 2011 Giants as a pretty average team overall.spike wrote:they still had that insane DL in '11 though, didn't they?Orpheus wrote:Eli Manning, who isn't even a great QB, in 2011.

You're totally right. Luck's close game/comeback record is just otherworldly, so they always have a chance.
And I love how when Tom Brady is a petulant bitch he's called a "fiery leader" while when someone like Dez Bryant does it they're a "thug." Great double standard.

yeah, i was just thinking how brady can go apeshit on any ref and he'll never get penalized.Orpheus wrote:You're totally right. Luck's close game/comeback record is just otherworldly, so they always have a chance.
