i'm too much of a conan fan to even flip over to fallon...i will admit conan isn't the best interviewer though, especially when it's somebody you can tell he has no interest whatsoever in conversing with

Justin Timberlake did a perfect impression of Jimmy on SNL that hit what you said right on the nose. He is all over the place. The man can't avoid overly kissing ass either. He is funny though.theplatypus wrote:I completely disagree, at least as an interviewer. I find him incredibly grating and difficult to watch. Re: Jimmy Fallon's on his way out of the closet
I thought everyone loved Jimmy Fallon? For me, he's impossible to dislike. Sure, his actual interview skills aren't amazing but his enthusiasm is infectious and the guests seem to love being on the show.
Thank You Notes, Late Night Superlatives etc are always hilarious. And Steve Wiggins is a better sidekick/wingman than any of the others currently out there. They have great chemistry. Oh, and when they bust out "Hot Sax" its hysterical for reasons I don't understand.
I used to dig Letterman, but I agree he seems bored these days. I guess when you've been doing the show as long as he has you're bound to get bored.
Monday's episode with Bradley Cooper was hilarious. Those two always have a blast. The "books to avoid" segment was fantastic, too.

I've tried a few episodes, and I'm not sold. It just seems ridiculous and childish to me.cutuphalfdead wrote:Daniel Bryan wrote:Steve Wiggins is a better sidekick/wingman than any of the others currently out there.

To elaborate-I like that he has versatility in his talents. His interview skills are suspect, but I never watch that show for the interview. His little shticks are funnier than anyone else's, and the games he plays with his guests are often hilarious. Giant beer pong? Raw egg roulette? Lip sync battles? His guests always seem to have a blast.
I should clarify that I have only seen a handful or so of his shows, as I rarely watch television anyway.

Fallon's show is definitely better than it used to be, and there's some great bits from time to time, but they almost never are from Fallon himself. He's the weakest part of his own show.

I've actually only watched Ferguson a few times, and it was a long time ago. The stuff you've posted here and there is usually right up my alley.

I think you could make the argument that is the most important role of a host. Create an enviroment that allows the guests to be the stars.digster wrote: some great bits from time to time, but they almost never are from Fallon himself. He's the weakest part of his own show.

Fortunately there are a shit ton of full episodes on YouTube and his material is rarely dated.Kaius wrote:I've actually only watched Ferguson a few times, and it was a long time ago. The stuff you've posted here and there is usually right up my alley.

Yeah like in that Nicole Kidman clip where he did 80% of the talking.
