Thanks for being honest and not selling that as a "fun fact". I was bored by your fact.

I thought this was really boring. Regardless of whatever the convoluted narrative may or not be being used in service of, actually watching this movie essentially boils down to 80% incomprehensible plot exposition, which is incredibly grating to sit through.

I stopped following the plot about halfway through and just enjoyed the ride. Loved all the little cameos and funny bits. Looking back though, its really not as complicated as the movie made it out to be.

I thought TWBB was boring, a lot of people didn't. A lot of people thought The Master was boring but I loved it. The same with this one. It seems to be a thing about PTA movies. No matter how much you like him, sometimes you're just gonna be bored as shit.

Its weird watching movies now after having lived in those areas. It makes movies feel so much smaller.

I was really surprised, since he's never bored me before. With the exception of Hard Eight, I've hardcore loved everything he's made before this. I'm just not sure this one really adds up to anything significant.

I'm still looking forward to it. But I'll probably wait for blu-ray. Though, I'd RATHER see it in the theater. I'm just not sure I'll be able to find the time.

There's a definitely a lot of Lebowski in this. Except that Lebowski is fun to watch (and not incomprehensible on a narrative level).

And this wouldn't even be that much of a problem if they didn't spend sooooooo much time spewing plot-related babble at you from an endless parade of disparate characters. It's exhausting.

i think i finally got through lebowski without dozing off like the eighth time i watched it. of course, i was pretty stoned for most if not all of the previous attempts.

Dude, we're all film nerds who like abstract films. There's a point where it's valid to critique a film's plot. Like take Borgman for example, I knew what was up, I just didn't love it. On the other hand, this movie was straight up impenetrable.
