This, I totally agree with.Orpheus wrote:You're totally right. Luck's close game/comeback record is just otherworldly, so they always have a chance.
And I love how when Tom Brady is a petulant bitch he's called a "fiery leader" while when someone like Dez Bryant does it they're a "thug." Great double standard.

Oh no, yeah, he absolutely was. On the field with his helmet off and everything. But the refs were very much ignoring him. But he was throwing a fit.spike wrote:was dez right in a ref's face throwing a temper tantrum though? i kinda missed that part of the game.durdencommatyler wrote:But they weren't even listening to him.@SkitchP wrote:spike wrote:yeah, i was just thinking how brady can go apeshit on any ref and he'll never get penalized.Orpheus wrote:You're totally right. Both things are judgement calls. The helmet thing has nothing to do with it as that only applies to players currently on the field.

Dez is not a leader. A leader does not need a grown man hired by the team he plays for to babysit him.

Did we just time travel to 2010? I heard Peyton Manning and the Colts are gonna be good this year.

How is he not? He's a veteran pro-bowler who tries to get his teammates going when the chips are down. Like I said, when Brady does it he's just "fiery" and "trying to be motivational." But it's the same goddamn thing.

Given how high-strung and Type A Dez is, and by NFL standards at that, it's tough to imagine him not being a leader.

Personally I don't think Dez is a thug. I'm not racist so there is that. I think he is a prima-donna. Huge difference there. Hell of a player though. Brady whines sometimes. A lot of Cowboys fans think people are out to get Cowboys fans. It's interesting.Orpheus wrote:How is he not? He's a veteran pro-bowler who tries to get his teammates going when the chips are down. Who isn't a type a personality in the NFL? Jay Cutler? That might be it.

I don't think you're out to get me, but I certainly think you're talking out of your ass, like bringing up him needing support from the organization when he was 21-22. That has nothing to do with anything in 2014, a year in which he led the league in TDs and is an integral part of a great offense. An offense on which, yes, I would call him a leader.

Re: 2014 NFL Season
Needing support from the organization? Stop enabling behavior like that. You are old enough at 21-22 to know right from wrong. Just as much as when you are 27. Has he matured? Probably. But to put him in the same category as Brady as far as leadership? Cmon.Orpheus wrote:I don't think you're out to get me, but I certainly think you're talking out of your ass, like bringing up him needing support from the organization when he was 21-22. Isn't Witten the leader? Hard to say if you are not on the team I guess.

Re: 2014 NFL Season
I just hope the Broncos can get Demaryius Thomas extended before the Cowboys blow up the WR market with a Dez extension.
