Re: Mark Lanegan | Phantom Radio
Yeah that one (I Am The Wolf) is probably on the lower end of his solo output, but I can think of several songs from collaborations that are much worse. That's the only kind of dud on the album for me though. While not as strong as Blues Funeral, it's still a damn good album (along with the EP). Looking forward to seeing him in Philly and DC this weekend--he needs to add Sad Lover to these set lists god dammit.

I'm not into this one yet either. Taking it slow though, I'll try it again in a couple weeks.

Phantom Radio and No Bells On Sunday remix album due 24 February. Could be interesting....

Following career-best reviews and a Top 20 chart entry for Phantom Radio last month, Mark Lanegan Band return with A Thousand Miles Of Midnight, an album of remixes of tracks from both ‘Phantom Radio’ and ‘No Bells On Sunday’, the EP that accompanied it. The album is made up of a brilliant array of remixes by artists as diverse as UNKLE, Moby, Greg? Dulli and Soulsavers.
Mark Lanegan says of the album: “I thought these tunes would lend themselves to remixing and that it would be interesting to hear what other artists might make of them. All the people who did remixes are musicians whose work I greatly admire.”
Tracklisting
1. Death Trip To Tulsa - Mark Stewart’s exopolitix demix
2. I Am The Wolf - Greg? Dulli remix
3. The Killing Season - UNKLE remix
4. Torn Red Heart - Moby remix
5. No Bells On sunday - Moon Gangs remix
6. Floor Of the Ocean - Pye Corner Audio remix

11. Dry Iced - Thomas Barfod remix
12. Jonas Pap - Soulsavers Aural Disorientation remix
13. Seventh Day - Tom Furse extrapolation
14. Judgement Time - Alain Johannes remix

Hopefully more interesting than the record itself but I'm not holding out much hope.

Interesting. Good to see Josh Homme's remix of Sad Lover didn't make the cut, it was kinda dull.

I'm a little nervous to see that my favorite song on the album(s), Torn Red Heart, is being remixed by Moby. I thought the song he did with Lanegan last year was pretty weak and the song as it stands now is already perfect.

Re: Mark Lanegan | Phantom Radio
In the end an album an an ep only produced 5-6 songs I care about. Maybe these will breathe some new life into the album
