Re: What are you drinking right now?
the gas station where i sometimes stop on the way to work gives a free bottle of water with a purchase of a large coffee, and that's the origin story of the water i'm drinking right now

Re: What are you drinking right now?
it's not the best coffee, but the convenient location and the free water make up for it.
the cup and lid combination is top-notch, however. they have one of the detachable hole covers that you fold back. i will not abide a permanently exposed coffee hole.

As should no hole be left permanently exposed.

Do you not own a travel mug, Alex?

i do, and most days i make coffee at home and bring the travel mug. but the gas station coffee is for mornings during which i get a slow start, or during which i realize i've run out of coffee beans.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
I was recently gifted a Keurig machine, so I've been making coffee at home. I can't help but feel like those little k-cups are incredibly wasteful, though.

They're incredibly wasteful. Either get one of those reusable k cups you fill with your own coffee or return that machine.

Re: What are you drinking right now?
i used to be very resistant to the idea of a keurig based on some kind of misguided attachment to the traditional methods of coffee brewing, but i've really come around on the idea. my dad has one and i'm impressed with it when i visit him. i think i could make due with both a french press and a keurig, and lose the drip machine.

It actually came with a little basket that you can use to brew regular coffee as well, but the K-cups are easier and I am lazy.

I love my Keurig. Or at least I did...until it broke down recently.

Last time I was in England I was amazed to see that everyone brings their own bags to the grocery store (usually canvas, but sometimes just thick plastic). If you needed to use their bags they would charge you 5p for each one.
