Have you come across the Founders Black Rye yet?
I had this last night along with the Dark Penance. The Black Rye was nice in a hard to categorize way. Too chewy for a black IPA but definitely not thick enough for a porter or stout. Really tasty.
I actually liked the Dark Penance a little more, not really sure why though.

isn't it up to us to decide whether a beer is chewy?

Is the Brooklyn Brewery tour worth it? I feel like I remember someone here really putting it down.

I did the tour a few years ago and while the
tour isn't much to write home about the tokens and beer available in their communal room after was pretty awesome. It may very well have changed since 2009 but I would do it again if I were in the area.

Got a package in the mail from a buddy in southern Virginia today. Some really good breweries up there. Looking forward to seeing what he sent me.

Clear skies, 60 degree temp, no humidity. Odell's Loose Leaf was brewed for this kind of day.

I was surprised how much I liked Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout. I wanted to hate it after paying that much, but it won me over.

I don't love a lot of the bourbon stuff, hell, I even think KBS is overrated.
Bourbon County however is the exception. So good.

Terrapin Mosaic is worth getting. Red Rye PA with 100% mosaic hops.
Similar to their RPA with different flavor. I liked it
