Agreed. As much as I'd like Sting v Undertaker I don't think the match would be that great and it makes no sense.numbers wrote:I think HHH will be able to carry him to something decent.

Mania 32 in Arlington? I might try and hit that!

Well, doesn't make sense as far as story line. Like why would they wanna fight each other? Maybe in 1998. I'd still love to see the match.
I bet Austin is on board for 32. Taker with a farewell match maybe? Yeah, I'm gonna try and go.

It makes sense because they had this parallel path for many years, and it was always one of the dream match ups back in the days of two big promotions. It actually makes more sense than Sting having some issue with HHH. I don't care though, I'd rather have the matchup that can produce a decent match.

I actually really like the way they've built the Sting/HHH feud. You ever notice that even when the overall product is terrible, HHH's feuds are still well crafted and built? I can't decide if that's because he has free reign from Vince when it's his own matches, or because it's the only time he puts any care into it.

Hard to say. HHH has always been a fantastic heel. I am pretty sure he has full reign on NXT? I could be wrong.

He does, and that's what makes me think it's more the former.BigRedLedbetter wrote:Hard to say. HHH has always been a fantastic heel. I am pretty sure he has full reign on NXT? I could be wrong.

HHH is probably the best heel ever, other than Flair.

Although, The Rock in 1998 is probably the best heel work ever done.

Re: Official WWE/Pro Wrestling thread
sting has a good match left in him. i expect hhh/sting to be good if not great, if only because i assume sting will be more motivated than he has been in 15+ years and hhh will know how to hide any expected deficiencies (make it no dq, etc.).

Agreed, but he has to be in the ring with someone like HHH. It doesn't have to be like Michaels going all out to carry Flair to one last match, but it can't be with someone like Taker that needs that help himself.

on the same day that images of hhh "breaking character" and consoling a crying boy at ringside on last night's raw, i'm reminded of one of the greatest (read: most entertaining) heel moves ever:numbers wrote:HHH is probably the best heel ever, other than Flair.

yes, i would not feel the same way about a match with taker (or show or roman or [insert 90% of wrestlers here]).numbers wrote:Agreed, but he has to be in the ring with someone like HHH. Sting was the last guy to make a name for himself outside of WWE's umbrella, and it's unlikely anyone will ever be able to do that again. It's kind of sad that we've basically seen the last guy that could debut and have it mean something.

He was very good when he did it in 1993-1994.
