TV: Vikings (History Channel)

Anyone else watching this? I thought the pilot was kind of cheesy, but this has really come along nicely and I really enjoy it. Just read they will be doing a second season.

Yes!
The first three episodes i was luke warm on but wow the last 4 have been awesome and even more awesome.

The guy playing Ragnar has such a unique way of playing him i like it. Ragnar's brother is confusing but seems ultimately to be a snake. I wonder if the old Viking ruler's wife can be trusted

Super excited for the last two this season and that we get another season next year.

Some of the fight scenes have been pretty cool

I watched the pilot and thought it was terrible. Good to hear its gotten better though. Maybe I'll revisit when the first season's done.

Like I said in the OP, I agree, it was cheesy. But it has gotten WAY better.

I can't speak for accuracy but I've found it to be surprisingly enjoyable.

I enjoyed their Hatfields and McCoys show, so I will give this one a try soon.

For those thinking about watching and may not know; this is a scripted show, they are in no way claiming this to be a historically accurate show on vikings.

Not a bad show. I'm a sucker for this kinda thing, though. Seemed they got rid of Gabriel Byrne a little soon, yeah? Maybe not.

Floki is great. Gustaf is perfect for the role.

i was surprised when Gabriel's character was killed off. I thought that was going to be the focus of the season culminating at the end of the year, but I think it worked really well!

Floki is great!

I was a bit upset they were going to kill the priest as a sacrifice. The episode was interesting and i guess it just serves as a reminder they can be pretty cold hearted.

HIm tripping on mushrooms was pretty funny :D

That was a great episode. For a second I thought Floki was going to volunteer, that would have sucked. Building up to a good finale next week.

Great show! 9 episodes go by so quick. They should do like 30 episodes per season...

It's good though... Looking forward to season 2!

Didn't know this was made here in Ireland. Went to an extras casting for it yesterday. I must look this show up, never seen it.

This show really settled into a stride after a less than brilliant early season. It isn't mind blowing, but I'll keep an eye on it.
