Looks like the Bears will sign Fangio for DC.

I like what I'm seeing so far.
Ownership blows it all up. We hire a bright young GM and a successful veteran HC. Throw in some coordinators from highly successful units on good teams. Now let's see what they can do with that roster.

And I still feel like I'm seeing a version of the Broncos from 3-5 years ago...Kaius wrote:I like what I'm seeing so far.

Re: The Chicago Bears
If it means 12-4 seasons and division wins then I'm all about it.
I am an opponent of the "can't win in the playoffs" argument. Getting there consistently is the best way to win championships. Also, getting hot at the right time.
Of course, tell that to Andy Reid and Marty Schottenheimer….

Not surprising since the Bears are basically filled with Broncos rejects.Green Habit wrote:And I still feel like I'm seeing a version of the Broncos from 3-5 years ago...Kaius wrote:I like what I'm seeing so far.

I'll take the results though.

That's what I was thinking too. But if they can win...Green Habit wrote:And I still feel like I'm seeing a version of the Broncos from 3-5 years ago...Kaius wrote:I like what I'm seeing so far.

Fox is not the perfect coach, but you can't question him when it comes to building a staff. Very very underrated. From where the Bears were at the end of the year, till now, seismic change.

Re: The Chicago Bears
I do think Fox is the right guy for one huge issue--turning around that abysmal defense. In retrospect it's amazing how quickly he did it in Denver after all the damage McDaniels and late-wave Shanny did to it. The bigger question will be if Gase can use his mojo to getting Cutler to the QB that he's always had the potential to be.pnjguy wrote:Fox is not the perfect coach, but you can't question him when it comes to building a staff. Re: The Chicago Bears
I don't think the Bears are operating under the impression that Cutler will be around when they're good. The only chance Cutler has is that the offense turns into being run-heavy, play-action type of scheme like they did in Dallas, and hope Cutler can do a '2014 Tony Romo' impression.Green Habit wrote:I do think Fox is the right guy for one huge issue--turning around that abysmal defense. So what's the time table for them to be good? Who do they get to QB?pnjguy wrote:I don't think the Bears are operating under the impression that Cutler will be around when they're good.Green Habit wrote:I do think Fox is the right guy for one huge issue--turning around that abysmal defense.
