We're gonna do the Franchise one every year, but I'd like to save that one for right when the regular season ends so that we have access to another year's worth of stats/players each time.

Not necessarily. Tip O'Neill hit 11 home runs (and won the Most Outstanding Player award) in the Franchise tournament, and he was a dead ball era guy.

pretty much everything pre 1920. When Babe Ruth converted to a power hitter is when the live ball era started.
