This is out there officially now and it's really good. It sounds like a stranger version of Homogenic with songs being mostly on the longer side. (7 out of 9 songs over 6 minutes) The album is kind of
an exhausting listen for me which isn't meant to be a bad thing. It's just pretty somber throughout. Might be the best album I listened to this year so far.

Great interview: http://pitchfork.com/features/interview ... ith-bjork/
Pitchfork: It sounds like an album about partnership, motherhood, and family—things that bond us—and your worst fears about them...

B: [crying] I’m sorry.

New album is stupendous. Dense and epic. Kinda weird to hear her so direct about her emotions. Album sounds like it was painful to make. It's gonna take awhile to digest.

Black Lake is fucking incredible.

All of the songs :heartbeat: Nevertheless, I agree that Black Lake is one of the highlights. Stonemilker and Lionsong are a fantastic opening duo.

The reception is generally very favorable. See the 'Professional Ratings' here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulnicura and it's ranked second place for this year on RYM. http://rateyourmusic.com/customchart?pa ... countries= (Might even be place 1 after the next update)

I liked Björk before but I'm not the biggest Björk fanatic there is and I really like this album. Someone who didn't like Björk before this album probably won't begin to like her now as it's not really her most accessible album. Listen to Black Lake or Stonemilker and decide for yourself. (Or just listen to the whole thing)

I think this may actually be her best album. That being said, it's a tough listen. It's not a driving album. It's not for a quick listen. There's no Hyperballad or Pagan Poetry or Joga. It's filled with beauty and pain that's stark and difficult even for Bjork.

I wouldn't want an easy album from her because it wouldn't be genuine. She's clearly not interested in producing anything that's easily consumable. I think Vespertine was the last album that had something that could be called a real "single." And I'm perfectly fine with that.

This album is great and there are a ton of great moments, but, honestly, Black Lake is probably my favorite song since Mark Koz and The Album Leaf's Gustavo.
