But seriously, look at his numbers in 1971: 18 HR and 20 SB, lead the league with a career best 112 BB and .425 OBP, 5th in the league with a 157 wRC+.

At 40 years old.

His 5.9 fWAR, which is about the equivalent to the season Giancarlo Stanton just had, makes it the 15th best season of his career.
