This is a pretty great idea. Real season long stats. I just wish we could come up with a way to auto generate random DL stints.

You could do 162 game seasons but you're only allowed to play a guy the number of games he actually played in the season you took for him.

That sounds kinda hard to monitor given that whatif might use your guy as a pinch runner or hitter in a game you didn't intend on him being in. Maybe just a guy needs to have at least 10 starts off?

Also, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about the next draft tournament when I won't be able to have Olerud at 1B. I may just not play anyone there.

I propose a rule allowing you to draft John Olerud in ALL tournaments, provided he is not given any starts in the ones he should otherwise be omitted from.

I like the idea of some sort of theme. Like regional. I made an all Cuban team for the hell of it that is pretty fun to play with.

I wish college baseball was more popular. I'm probably the only fan on the board. I'm gonna make an all Big 10/Big 12 team at some point.

Very true. We'd have to find themes that match up well against each other.

My Cuban team has a payroll of $142M which I was kinda surprised by. So that matches up pretty well with a lot of teams on there.

I'm sure I can survive without him for a couple tournaments. I just have to get the Mets as my second team in the next franchise tournament.

I'm looking forward the next couple draft tournaments where we're going back far enough that I have no biases because I didn't watch any of the players... I try to avoid picking based on who I like/don't like (other than the obvious one) but it probably factors in a little bit.
