Mad Season with Chris Cornell and a symphony on Jan 30th

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

StubHub currently asking $700 a pop.

Scored a single on Craigslist from a guy whose wife bailed tonight for $110.

Interested to hear how this goes. Not sure how a symphony adds anything to Mad Season, but whatever, something is usually better than nothing.

Since I can't be there think I'l have to put on the vinyl.

What. A. Show. Temple of the Dog, Mad Season, Mike's own commissioned piece for the Symphony. Amazing stuff, really. Chris Cornell's voice sounded better than the last several times I have seen him. I think everyone assumed Jeff and Stone would be there so it wasn't so much a surprise, but I guess it was. Also nice to see and hear Skerik and Barrett, Sean Kinney. Even Duff was good. Got some chills at times, a little misty-eyed at others. I want to go back and watch it all again.

Top 5 show I've ever been to. Can't sleep. Got up to the front with no trouble at all. It's funny, the Benaroya "security" staff are used to bluehairs in tuxedos...you can pretty much do whatever you want if you're polite. I swear I could have walked right in without a ticket.

I really hope there is a DVD of this show because it will prove the following claim: I got the whole crowd standing up about halfway through. Up til then everyone was sitting. After a few Mad Season songs I was like..."fuck this, we're standing, I don't care where we are or who is here or how we're supposed to act here...this is once in a lifetime."

I snagged a stack of programs if anyone wants a copy. I'll give away 5, you pay shipping.

Got 2 picks of Mike's, may try and sell one. Any ideas on the value (if any)?

My seats were up high on Stone's side a little towards the back. I was broke when the show went on sale and having been there enough I know there are no bad seats so I went for the best cheap ones I could get.

I'm also looking forward to reliving this through an audio or video recording.

I saw Mike encouraging people to stand and then a flood of people heading down the aisles. Glad you had a good time. It was exactly what I needed after a couple of harrowing days at work.
