I guess my point is that I've always been under the assumption that muffins and cupcakes are widely identified as the hot dogs of desserts. You won't pick it over crème brûlée, but they're good at your best friend's birthday party.

i'd only eat them if there was nothing else available...that is assuming i get invited to the party
