I have the A-50s. I was shopping for A-25s but I found someone on craigslist selling a pair of the a50s and jumped on that.
If my house ever catches on fire they're among the first things I grab.
I like those. They are pretty. I want

Excellent. Let us know how they sound! You gonna get speaker stands for them? I liked how they looked with that as well.verb_to_trust wrote:Fuck it.... bought them. I saw some cool steel stands that are lower to the floor and tilt slightly back. I might look into those.Strat wrote:Excellent. Let us know how they sound! You gonna get speaker stands for them? I had to go to work today, but those fuckers wouldn't deliver because of the snowKevin Davis wrote:Simple Torture wrote:Forgot to mention that I finally got into the jazz game and ordered "Kind of Blue" + "A Love Supreme." Is it the first cartridge you've installed? I have a Shure cartridge, and I thought it'd be as easy as plug-and-play...but it was a tad bit more complicated, what with the disconnecting wires and aligning the cartridge. I suggest a good pair of needle-nose pliers if Ortofon are in any way similar. Still not 100% sure how my alignment went, although it sounds excellent--just hope I'm not doing damage.Strat wrote:Im about to order the Ortofon 2m Red. Getting the wires off the current cartridge was the toughest part for me--always felt like I was going to rip them apart, so be very gentle.Strat wrote:

Huge upgrade to Pro-ject Debut for me a couple weekends ago. Quality is quite noticeably better. Also up to like 250 records; it's addictive as hell.

I wish there was a reliable source out there somewhere for the release dates of the Nick Cave &TBS reissues (in the US). I've preordered a bunch but have no idea when half of them will arrive :-/
