Husker Du & Bob Mould awesomeness

Post by joostone »

He rocked the house last night on Letterman.

Couldn't find a thread on him so I use this performance as an excuse to start one.

I pretty much have to enjoy Hüsker Dü. Good stuff. Love Zen Arcade.

I work with one of Bob Mould's nephews. This has not changed the fact that I do not listen to him.

Have you ever seen Prince? My only weekend in Minneapolis I kept asking people where Kent Hrbek, Prince and Bob Dylan were. As I was super drunk. I left the cities the day before Kirby Puckett passed. I'm bad karma.

I have not. According to legend, he did some door knocking for the Jehovah's Witnesses. I saw Dylan in concert. Hrbek I saw walking around the Mall of America. Waited for a friend next to Bert Blyleven, whose wife was on the same flight. Met Kevin McHale at a county fair while he was still big shit with the Celtics. I don't get out much, really. I think most everyone who lives in the cities where sports teams play runs into athletes occasionally.

I saw Kirby Pucket at Wally's Road Beef. He walked in and it was super busy. People started recognizing him so he left.

I played on the playground area/near a a bunch of old props outside paisley palace one drunken night.

the dude was an insanely good drummer, and underrated singer.

"You're a Soldier" from Warehouse is one of my all-time 80s indie favs.
