The No Code album was when the quality of music began to slip, when Eddie went all Megalomanic in the band, but the music has taken a really sharp decline after Riot Act.

I can get on board with this. RA, to that point was probably my least favorite. It's a grower though, and musically, it's really interesting. Thanks for posters like spenno, songs like "Cropduster" (which I hated), have grown on me.

S/T is ok, but there are some really flat out bad songs on it. Back when S/T was released, it was instantly gratifying for me. I initially thought it was better than both RA and Binaural. My how the times have changed though. The latter albums have skyrocketed for me, while S/T has taken a sharp nose dive.

pearl jam has had substandard songs on every album since No Code. The sooner you make your peace with this the happier you'll be :)

This is definitely true. No album of theirs is perfect, but the highs are certainly higher on some albums than others.

Yeah, I can get on board with this, even though I think every pre-Avocado album is great.

Come on, outside of being overplayed, you can't seriously be saying "Even Flow" isn't a great PJ song.
