I've been meaning to watch those.

Watched Beasts of the Southern Wild. Great coming of age story. It tugged on the heartstrings.

Hey, Platy, you see a lot of international cinema. Did you see Tarr's The Turin Horse yet and how is it? Is it as painfully slow as Werckmeister Harmonies?

Um, I've asked you a question, sir.

Missed that. No, I haven't seen Bela Tarr's latest. Didn't see The Man From London either.

Rabbit Hole
I really liked this. I love movies that deal with coping with tragedy. The mother's obsession with the boy that killed her son was fascinating. Uplifting in a weird way. Great performances all around. Dianne Wiest was fantastic as usual. I wish John Cameron Mitchell would make more movies.

I'm a huge fan of David Lindsay-Abaire (who wrote the original play) and I liked the play a lot. A lot, a lot. Because of that I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm afraid of it.

But I should check it out. Totally forgot that Michell directed it. Huge plus.

I've had Tarkovsky's Solaris in my possession for a good while now, but I've never viewed it. Should I?

Yeah.
I like a film that takes its time and breathes a little, but even so, the pacing of this one has always made me apprehensive. Silly, I know.

It was fun wasn't it? That Tom Cruise is a cool dude.

There was a clumsy humor in the movie that I wasn't expecting, but it was nice.
