Re: Kanye West
I know Kanye is basically just pimping the dumb american public, but its just a dumb gimmick. I'd respect him more with a new gimmick I think. He'd fit right in at RM though.

Re: Kanye West
is there an age at which people begin viewing the act of celebrities doing crazy things at meaningless awards ceremonies as horrible? do people with kids feel more negatively about kanye than people without kids? is it truly a race thing? is it a music-snob thing? what is the variable that leads someone to having a strong opinion for or against this kind of non-event?

I don't know what event or non-event you're talking about.Alex wrote:is there an age at which people begin viewing the act of celebrities doing crazy things at meaningless awards ceremonies as horrible? do people with kids feel more negatively about kanye than people without kids? is it truly a race thing? is it a music-snob thing? what is the variable that leads someone to having a strong opinion for or against this kind of non-event?
But I don't have kids and I'm pretty sure you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with a lower opinion of Kayne West than me.

let's just say that extolling the virtues of kanye west on a board with a 71-page soundgarden thread would be a fruitless endeavor

I seriously question the music taste of anybody who is able to listen to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and come away with a "meh".
