I see no reason why the guy couldn't have dated a black chick.

His dad should have definitely been black.

See, this is why I cut back on movie-related posting on RM. I should probably just stick to GD altogether.

Why's that, exactly? Be as explicit as possible

You should really see a movie before you bring your special brand of uppity pretentiousness to it's designated thread. Further, your threatening to leave when something doesn't go your way makes you look like something of Billy Corgan character. Yikes.

I didn't threaten to leave. And this has nothing to do with something "not going my way." It's about the level of open-mindedness and capacity for critical thought in the people I'm talking to. It's just not worth the time of day if people are going to remain stuck at the level I was at like 8 years ago.

And we already went over me not having seen it. But it's cool, you can still refuse to listen.

For the record, there are plenty of insightful, intelligent RMers who are worth engaging in movie discussions with. Unfortunately, they tend to be drowned out by the belligerent, solipsistic Somas of the board, which ruins everything.

there's no reason for the level of personal attacks like calling someone a Billy Corgan
