I'm just joshin. I'm in the fan club too ($20 digital version). I'm in it for the tickets. I want to keep my sweet 10c number. It got me front row in Hamilton 2011.southp wrote:I'm getting a 7" record and opportunity to buy good tickets... and I've been in it since I was 16 so I figure why stop now?Farmer John wrote:southp wrote:I'm 35 years old, what the fuck am I doing in a fan club?
I'm not in it to get free stickers. Seems pretty straight forward.

Yeah, but by the time you get the "opportunity" to buy tickets to a show in your neck of the woods (unless you live in Boston, Chicago or NY), you've paid $125-$175 in annual fees, and even then you might get shut out with this new lottery system. At that point, might as well buy a good scalped ticketsouthp wrote:I'm getting a 7" record and opportunity to buy good tickets... and I've been in it since I was 16 so I figure why stop now?Farmer John wrote:southp wrote:I'm 35 years old, what the fuck am I doing in a fan club?

Re: Goods thread (for when 10c puts things up for sale)
That's what got me to give up my membership in early 2010. I had been in the club since 1998 and saw my opportunity to access tickets in my area dwindle with each passing year. The final straw was the LA 2009 shows. I was only allowed to grab tickets for one of the four shows (I totally get why, so I am not complaining) in addition to the SD show. At that point, I asked myself if it was worth spending $60 on a shabby (to put it lightly) fan club in order to access tickets every 3 or so years. I don't live in Boston or Philadelphia, so they don't come around here much. Even with my great number, it seemed my tickets were getting worse with each passing tour - I somehow was further back in SD in 2009 than I was for the 2006 tour, for example. I determined that paying a premium for the potential to access tickets didn't work for me anymore. Seeing what the fan club has morphed into since I left makes me even happier with my decision.bodysnatcher wrote:Yeah, but by the time you get the "opportunity" to buy tickets to a show in your neck of the woods (unless you live in Boston, Chicago or NY), you've paid $125-$175 in annual fees, and even then you might get shut out with this new lottery system. Yeah this will be the last year I pay for a membership. I haven't used it since '09, the last time they played their g'damn hometown.@SkitchP wrote:stonefury wrote:That's what got me to give up my membership in early 2010. I gave up mine years ago because all you Seattle-ites kept coming up to Vancouver making the tickets i got through 10 Club completely shitty. Way easier to buy one from a 10 Club holder with a good number and buy them a poster and a coupel of beers.bodysnatcher wrote:Yeah this will be the last year I pay for a membership. Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Last time they came to Australia, the shows were GA so there were no advantages except 30 mins early entry. But if you wanted to be up the front you had to wait outside the venue from like 6am that morning. Some people slept out the front I believe.

Guys, stuff like this is exactly why it's so great to be in the Kiss Army a Parrothead a Juggalo watching the ship sink.

How hard would it be to offer one of the 30 black shirts they have in white instead? I hate black tshirts. Guess I'm buying one with a VW bus on it. Like that hasn't been done before.
Whoa, a VW bus, that's so retro dude!
PS- Sorry Bee Girl, I know you like that shirt. And I grew up with my parents having a VW bus. Nothing against them.

the women's tshirt designs are kinda cool. the shirts themselves are pretty terrible.
