I can't tell yet for myself. It's possible, but I wonder how much of it is just the thrill of finally having a new D'Angelo album after fourteen years.

All this D'Angelo hoopla had me thinking about Maxwell the other day. I know Embrya got trashed when it came out, but I used to dig that album.

one of the things that surprised me the most about BM are the vocals. They are so weird...sometimes the background vocals sound slightly off and its a really weird but cool effect.
