i think the fade on rival is perfect. just the right amount. A tantalizing hint. Drag it out longer and it would lose its impact.

I think they could have dragged it out at least another 10 seconds, and then sort of faintly repeated the dog growl loop as it faded out

I approve of no fades from this band. More often than not they really know how to end a song well.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.
