I guess so. There's of course no FDA research to support any of the claims, but I've managed to get rid of my heartburn/acid reflux using pro-biotics such a kombucha & kefir. I also drink raw apple cider vinegar daily when I'm home, all of these have an alkalizing effect on the body.
