Re: D3 Round 2x: Rearviewmirror vs. Why Go
This was really hard for me as I adore both of these songs. I prefer Why Go live by quite a bit, but there's nothing as good as the breakdown at the end of RVM, and RVM is just the better song. I'm not going to play Why Go to someone I want to make a fan. RVM is on that mix every time.

Rearviewmirror is classic. The studio version still holds up well, despite the bastardization of it live.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Those live versions of rvm from the first leg of the 2000 north american tour, when they were trying their hardest to impress sonic youth, are just incredible.

Rearviewmirror on the album is so good. I find it almost difficult to listen to. It's an uncomfortable song in terms of lyrical content, but when the moment is right, it's the cathartic vehicle for letting rage just pour out of you.

Rearviewmirror, one of the easiest matches this round.

RVM everyday. If I could own one piece of PJ memorabilia, I'd choose the snare that Dave apparently threw.

Yeah; I love how both Pearl Jam and Neil Young both "went through a Sonic Youth phase."cutuphalfdead wrote:Those live versions of rvm from the first leg of the 2000 north american tour, when they were trying their hardest to impress sonic youth, are just incredible.
