I'm very, very angry that the NFL put the Raiders on Thanksgiving instead of the Broncos. Why on earth would you burn a key marquee spot like that? Other than that, Denver's schedule looks decent enough.

The mnf against my bucs definitely seems like an odd choice since both teams were bad most of last year, but the fins should be greatly improved and another good draft should have Tampa on the verge of the playoffs this year.

Well, Pete Carroll and now Chip Kelly, two college cheaters, who left thier programs on the eve of major violations.

Integrity? Zilch, but I bet Eagles fans would take the success of the Seahawks

Effectively though, we can write those two men completely off, when it comes to having any shred of integrity.

the only thing i dont like about seattle is Pete Carrol ( and maybe richard sherman when he is on tv), currently if i was to decide not to follow the Bucs anymore (never happen) then Seattle would be my team but it would be like Gruden with the Bucs and id be hoping he got Fired

My guess is 2-3 of the above plus one of the Saints matchups.
Time to pat myself on the back. Atlanta got the maximum five prime time games; the ones listed minus Seattle. The fifth? The Jets in a headscratcher. The Jets look to be a team that sucks out loud this year.
Tough opener at New Orleans (S. Peyton's return) but then the schedule turns light for a bit. The second half has most of what now seems to be the big boy games.
You do realize the first Sunday night game features two non-playoff teams who went a combined 17-15?

Was Carroll even involved in what got USC nailed? I thought it only had to do with Reggie Bush getting outside benefits (and also why I've thought that the USC penalties were far too harsh). If that's the case, I don't see how that shows that Carroll lacks integrity--though certainly you could say that he's a coward for leaving (and perhaps the same with Kelly).

Every coach is going to give you the plausable deniability defense, that they have 80 players and they can't possibly keep up with all of that. Its nonsense. They know exactly what is going on with the star athletes, because those are the guys that get them paid the 4 and 5 million dollar a year deals. Urban Meyer had a heart attack over his despot like iron fist at Florida. Oregon paid a guy 20 something thousand dollars to deliver a player and it's probably not the first time they did that.

Reggie Bush is what the NCAA decided to come down on USC for but it was a lot deeper than that, the NCAA has no subpoena power, they were dirty in both the basketball (OJ Mayo) and the football programs I forget the WR that was living with Leinart but a lot more people were getting "help" than just Reggie Bushes parents. There were agents all over the place. They weren't really hiding anything and part of the reason they got so big a penalty was how arrogant they were about it.

Oregon has been skirting disaster for several years now anyway and everyone winning in CFB are breaking at least a few rules, but I find it to be a scumbag move to build programs up to be something and (the Pitnoesque bullshit about being a family and sticking together) then leaving the school and "thier kids" in the lurch with probation and landing soft in the NFL like you did nothing wrong.

Carroll is the kind of guy that would be nice to your face, and then stick a knife in your back. Chip Kelly knew about this when it was going on, I believe he even signed the check. Then when the heat was on it's way, he saw an opportunity to get of the sinking ship and he took it just like Carroll.

I like everything about the Seahawks too, but then you see that dancing lunatic on the sidelines and you just want someone to go tackle him.

Say what you will about Carrol but he's done a phenomenal job along with their GM in building that team. The last two years people have routinely blasted their draft picks and other decisions and they've been pretty brilliant. No one in the NFL gives a shit about integrity, they care about results.

Not saying he's not building an excellent team, I just think it has quite a bit to do with getting the right QB in there. Russell Wilson's work ethic and ability took them farther than anyone else there. They didn't have a bad team to begin with, now they have a very good young QB and they've drafted pass rushers. I just wouldn't put any ounce of trust in the guy.

Their O-line really came into its own this year too. Wilson is obviously great but they've surrounded him with a lot of nice players. If he came into a situation more like Andrew Luck had to deal with I don't think he'd have been nearly as successful. Really interested in who they pick up in the draft after the moves they made in the offseason.

only a 2013 1st & a 4th in 2014.
the fourth-round pick that the Bucs owe the Jets in 2014 upgrades to a third-round pick based only on the player’s presence on the Tampa Bay offseason roster in 2014.

So if Revis gets hurt they can just cut him and not pay his huge salary. The other major sports must be so envious on the NFL...

The key was getting Revis signed to a long term deal. That's what makes the 1st and 3rd such a good deal. The fact that the Bucs got ultimate flexibility with the contract is a nice cherry on top.

This leads me to believe that Revis isn't inherently combative with contracts, but that there was some sort of specific bad blood that he had with the Jets. Just another sign that they really need to blow up that three ring circus that they've been running with Rex as the ringmaster.

Im still shocked that rex is the head coach, i can't imagine why they would get a whole new front office and coaching staff and keep him.

As far as Revis, have they actually said what his contract is? I know its 16 million a year and no guarantee, but unsure of the length
