Oh no question, Greg? Hardy is about to be employed again in a month too. It's a violent game played by violent people. It's not the same as an office no question. You need some of what Incognito's got, I just don't really understand the taking it out on teammates.
The most disgraceful behavior this year probably came from the league office. The Rice case.... ridiculous. Josh Gordon... ridiculous among others. Those silly crying "no more" commercials as if it it's difficult to discuss domestic violence....
It's the easiest thing in the world. How hard is it to say beating your significant other is wrong and you're a horrible person for doing it?
The NFL was one giant league wide embarrassment last season and Goodell who has probably made in excess of $150 million so far was the most embarrassing figure in the league. His leadership was an absolute joke last year.

I've been arguing this for years, and this article lays it out very well. Don't let the Rams rip you off again, St. Louis.

Re: 2015 NFL Offseason
Broncos ought to give it one more shot with Manning...we know he poops his pants in the playoffs, but he still gives Denver its best shot at making the playoffs, especially if the run game and defense improves. Maybe they want Manning to take a pay cut. I dunno.
http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/denv ... 015-021015
Peyton Manning reportedly wants to play in 2015, but the bigger question might be what the Denver Broncos want.
NFL Media reported Tuesday morning that Manning is gearing up for a return in 2015. However, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole cited sources close to the team who said the Broncos are uncertain whether they want Manning back for another season. Manning has an upcoming physical, and the Broncos could fail the quarterback.
"At this point in his career, the Broncos could fail Peyton Manning for any reason, including the four neck surgeries that he has already had," he said Tuesday in a video on Bleacher Report. "In talking to sources close to the team, there's a big question here about whether the Broncos want to bring him back for one more year. They're going to have to feel very comfortable about this."
There certainly are factors working against Manning. The legendary quarterback turns 39 next month, and it looks like age and the neck injuries are finally catching up with him. Manning had a solid 2014 season, but he started to break down physically toward the end of the season. He reportedly played through a quad injury, but it's unrealistic to think Manning is going to suddenly get hurt less as he ages.
It might seem crazy for the Broncos to move on from a likely Hall of Famer in Manning, but the Broncos are in a state of transition. The team parted ways with head coach John Fox and hired Gary Kubiak.
Despite that, Cole says he "probably" sees Manning in Denver for one more season.

Re: 2015 NFL Offseason
I think they should bring him back if he wants to as well, but they also crafted the contract in a way that gives them an easy out now, and I've always got the feeling that they thought Manning would only want to play for three years. Regardless of what Manning decides you've got to also make some decision on Osweiler since he's entering the final year of his deal.

Re: 2015 NFL Offseason
Somehow, and I know this isn't an entirely original thought, but I'm wondering if Manning ends his career with the Titans, given the Tennessee connection.
I don't know much about Osweiler, but just read up on him. Sounds promising (can move, power arm, 6-foot-7), but don't know for sure until he suits up for real on Sundays.
Personally and selfishly, I want Manning to stay as we (Pats fans) need as many AFC teams alive and kicking to beat up Baltimore, the only AFC team I truly fear - just a bad match-up for NE.

The Titans have one of the worst, if not the worst, overall rosters in the NFL at this point. Barring some kind of insane draft/free agency mega-coup by them there is no chance in hell he will ever play there.

I"m sure there are many other guys in the NFL like him. These are Type-A workout warrior athletes who think and demonstrate they are better than others. LOL. Seriously, LOL.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12317 ... tory-monthPHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday said they were not responsible for an unfortunate juxtaposition in the team's official 2015 calendar.
A photo of wide receiver Riley Cooper is featured for February, which is Black History Month. Cooper drew criticism nearly two years ago after an online video appeared in 2013 showing him using racial epithets during a concert.
The Eagles say they had no input in the decision to feature Riley Cooper for February -- Black History Month -- in the team calendar.
"We do not oversee the production of the annual team calendar," the Eagles said in a news release. "We do not provide any input about the players who are featured or where those pictures appear in the calendar. The NFL licenses the production of that calendar to a third party, and we do not have an opportunity to review the material."

If he's really one of their 12 best players, they have real problems.

The general thinking, from what I've read, is that the Manning wants to own part of a team and the Titans make sense given the geography and rumors about a sale.... Although, the Titans have denied that the team is for sale..but still....Orpheus wrote:The Titans have one of the worst, if not the worst, overall rosters in the NFL at this point. The geography only makes a little bit of sense, as he only spent his four college years in the state (and at Knoxville, not Nashville). He spent his childhood in New Orleans, over a decade in Indianapolis, and he's closing in spending as much time in Denver as he did in Knoxville--plus, he has a family to raise now.Coach wrote:The general thinking, from what I've read, is that the Manning wants to own part of a team and the Titans make sense given the geography and rumors about a sale.... Re: 2015 NFL Offseason
Even if he only symbolizes a class of people, I am fine with him being that symbol and never working again. I happen to think he probably went beyond your average NFL dickhead though. Some of the shit he did, not just to Martin, but to other people in the Dolphins organization and beyond, was just horrible. And I'm so tired of the argument that many dumbshit fans made that "that's how NFL locker rooms operate." If what Incognito did was so good for the locker room and the O-line, why did they have one of the worst O-lines of all time that year? They were seriously terrible. Contrast that with a team like the Seahawks that are by all accounts very positive in their locker room and are actually good. I just hate what Incognito represents, I hate the fans that support him, and I think if there are several other people like him in the NFL, they can all lose their jobs too. There's just no place for it in my eyes.Fuck You Jobu wrote:I"m sure there are many other guys in the NFL like him.
