Chuck really has some weird electromagnetic hypersensitivity? That "take off the space blanket" scene gave the impression that it was mental illness.
I thought the same thing.

I'm pretty sure it's a mental illness, but we'll see

I wonder if Gilligan has an end game in mind. i suspect it will finish in the present day Cinnabon world, but I hope it's not for just the final episode.

So far, so good. Anyway, because I forget a lot of show material when I watch 'em, when did Sal work for Walter White? Before all of this? Afterwards? Is the Cinnabon scene from after Walter? I'm confused, obviously.

Most of the show will take place about 5 to 7 years before he started working with Walter White. The Cinnabon takes place after the events of Breaking Bad. He is kind of in Witness Protection in Omaha working for the Cinnabon.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if he was in the Cinnabon for something else pre-BB, or if it was due to BB. Thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised at this. I was expecting something very different. The first two eps were really good.

I'm surprised by how close in tone it is to Breaking Bad. I was expecting something a lot... I dunno, wackier.

So was I. And I thought I thought the episodes would have been more standalone instead of ongoing serial.

Tollbooth Guy. Is he going to become the same character he was on BB or is he simply a tollbooth attendant? He worked for Sal in BB, right?

I'm watching Metastasis, the Colombian adaptation of Breaking Bad. It's absolutely terrible, but laugh-out-loud hilarious in a "what the fuck" kind of way. It's an almost shot-for-shot remake, but with different names and faces and locations. Like an alternate reality Breaking Bad.

Here's their Saul Goodman (Saúl Guzman)

I think a lot of people expected that, myself included. I think it was a combination of Odenkirk's comedy roots and the over-the-top nature Saul/his commercials.
