Wonder how all those Russians that left the NHL to go back to Russia are feeling today. #Rubels. How's that working out Kovy?

Visited Toronto before Christmas and went through the Hall of Fame. Cool place. My fingerprints are on the Cup.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

I'm happy for the Jets. It's nice to get rid of a cancer in the room type player... even if he could get you 30 goals.
I don't care much for any team that doesn't have a CH on the chest, but I could get behind a Winnipeg playoff run.

Let's see how far this goes in Buffalo...

Players with issues like Kane's often grow up. He's still only 23. The upside for Buffalo is huge here.

I thought the Sabres gave up too much to the tune of one prospect. Thought that it would've been either Armia or Lemieux, but not both.

Plus the 1st round pick (which I assume is one they got from another team in a trade?)

Sounds like Claude Lemieux has decided to carry his on-ice reputation into his second career. If Lemieux was really refusing to sign, then he wasn't much of a loss for Buffalo.

unless that was common knowledge, they still gave away too much by sending Armia

Its the latest 1st round pick which will likely be St Louis's pick. I think it was part of the price for Kane.

Winnipeg will never go on a playoff run. That team has been in existence for 17 or 18 years, made one trip to the playoffs and got swept. It's just not in the cards.

You mean when they were the Thrashers? Then yeah, I couldn't give a shit about that era. I'm talking about the potential enjoyment of seeing the city of Winnipeg getting some playoff hockey and having their team win a round or two. Those are some deserving fans.

I'm not saying that they aren't. They are great fans. They didn't deserve to have their team ripped from them then, and their old team shouldn't be languishing in Arizona. I'm just saying that the team that they bought, has been horribly run for it's entire existence, there's not much hope of them doing anything in the playoffs anytime soon. It's good they got a good haul for Kane, but that team is in a perpetual state of rebuilding.
