If this turns out to be true, this a bushleague move by the Colts.

This is why you pay all those union dues.

When the owner is that much of an embarrassment already, lets see them try this.

The NFL players union should be absolutely apoplectic if this goes down. Lawsuits forever.

Cut him, pay the man his money, move on.

There is no KC Chiefs thread and I'm not gonna start one because it would just be me talking to myself most of the time. So I'm just gonna put this here: http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/1/22 ... ity-chiefs
"At this stage of my career, it isn't about money," ... "The Chiefs have taken care of me financially. I have some good people in my corner who have positioned me to live a lifestyle a lot of people won't be able to live. I'm not one of those guys who gets all bent out of shape over money. I love to play the game and I want to win a championship in Kansas City. If money is going to be a hindrance in doing that, we'll find a way. It's not about money."
""We gotta get Houston paid," ... "However we can get Houston paid, I think that should be their No. 1 priority right now."
In the 25 years that I've been a Chiefs fan I've owned two players' jerseys. 1) Joe Montana. and 2) Tamba Hali. I ADORE this man. He's my favorite Chief and I respect the complete hell out of the man. A phenomenal player who is nothing but class. I'd love nothing more than to see him retire as a Chief. Well, except seeing him win a SB as a Chief.

I'd probably participate--we can talk shit twice a year and make fun of the Raiders the rest of the time.

I remember on the 2006 draft that people were hyping the shit out of Mario Williams, yet I couldn't understand it and I thought the two best DEs that year were Mathias Kiwanuka and Tamba Hali. I was kind of wrong on Kiwanuka but he hasn't had a bad career at all and is still with the Giants today. I was right with Hali though. Come to think of it he reminds me a bit of Neil Smith, someone that you, me, and BRL will all have fond memories of. What sucked from his standpoint is that when he joined Chiefs is around when they started to go through that real rough patch in time. Not a lot of talent around him.

The Chiefs are in bad cap space if/when they tag Houston, but I can see at least four players (Bowe, DeVito, Fasano, and Daniel) that they can all cut to make it work before addressing Hali. They could also gain cap space by extending Hali, where they can do a trick by reducing his cap number in exchange for guaranteeing his 2015 salary.

It's a shame so many of his best years were wasted in KC. But he's still got something in the tank. And I love the way you think, GH.

Meanwhile, in more human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, and mass hysteria in the AFC West...our mutual rivals are proposing to share a stadium in LA.

Gross. If that happens, I'll start giving a shit about hating The Chargers. Right now they're just sorta... there. Easy enough to ignore. Other than Phyllis Rivers. He's just the living worst.

Rivers is the only reason why the Chargers generate any additional hatred beyond being division rivals. Once he's gone it'll probably go back to the old days of just being there like you said.

Always been a fan of the Chiefs, mainly because I love their home field advantage and crowd. Super jealous of that kind of environment.

About LA...it boggles my mind that the city hasn't had an NFL team in a decade or two. Football needs to return to that market.

Unless their share a room with those criminally insane asshats. You can't wash that smell off. They'll be guilty by association.

Though, "home field advantage" aspect will be interesting when they play each other.

I've always liked you, Coach.

Yeah, LA really should have a team. It's bizarre that they don't. And I already hate going to LA. Mostly because of the traffic. So the Faiders inhabiting the city kinda makes sense.

In hindsight, it's really not that mindboggling--LA has been very effective leverage in convincing cities to bend over the taxpayers to build palatial stadiums that the owners and the NFL should be using their own damn money on. (That's why I have a lot of respect for Bob Kraft in this regard since he paid for Gillette.) Plus, because the NFL is perhaps the most TV-driven sport, they could play their games almost anywhere and still make a shitload of money. The only reason why the LA talks are getting hot right now is because a couple of stadiums are legitimately shitholes that need to be replaced. (In the case of the Raiders, I mean that literally.)

See, this is the #1 reason why this should be considered a bad idea. Chargers/Raiders games will become a magnet for crime twice a year. Unless, of course, one of two moves into the NFC, but I'm not a fan of that for two reasons:
--The Raiders can't leave the division until the Broncos have seized the head-to-head record away from them. They need six more seasons of sweeping the Raiders to do it. Those lucky bastards in KC have already done it, I'm jealous.
--It's the Seahawks that would probably switch back, and that would make the division much tougher. Plus, for me personally I'd probably have to get DirecTV (ugh) since there would be tons of Broncos/Seahawks conflicts on CBS. I'd want the Rams to switch instead assuming they get stuck in St. Louis--having a battle for Missouri twice a year would be fun.

can anyone who keeps up with more college football then me give me some reasons to be excited about Jameis Winston? im more interested in seeing the Bucs go for Mariota, but unless something drastic happens then i believe they will be taking Winston at #1, and im sure he is good but i can help but see Byron Leftwitch when i watch him. i hear lots of praise for him fitting the ball into tight windows and things like that but i feel like the reason he seems to fit the ball into those tight windows is because his windup is long and slow and it gives the defense a better chance to break on the ball. i dont watch nearly enough to really know the goods and bads of him, but even though he would be a bit of a project, i think the Bucs have the ability to draft Mariota and sit him being Glennon for a year or 2 while he learns more of the pro style system and also while the Bucs learn how to use more of his abilities. so anyway, its still a ways away but it feels like the chances of Tampa not taking Winston are getting smaller every day so i want to start feeling good about him being the pick for the Bucs

I think Mayock said it best with there being on-field problems with Mariota and off-field problems with Winston. From a pure football standpoint I'd take Winston but from a pure human standpoint I'd take Mariota.

Then again, aren't you a Miami fan? If so, I could see it difficult to accept an FSU alum as the Bucs' starter.

The Rams switching with the Chargers makes the most sense to me. San Fran, Zona, Seattle, San Diego in the NFC West and Chiefs, Rams, Broncos and Shitstains in the AFC West. The Denver/KC/Crimetown rivalries are too good to blowup.

yeah, a Miami and a Florida fan and have always hated FSU, but i loved Derrick Brooks and Warrick Dunn as soon as they became Bucs, so while that can be a tough pill to swallow at first, once he is a Buc then i will be a fan, i just worry about him being a bust.
