Well, that's fairly offensive and insulting. Thanks for that. Glad you're around.

Don't fucking condescend to me, please. You don't have to like the movie. If you don't like it, don't like it. No skin off my nuts either way.

Alright, it just garbage. Poorly written, mediocre direction, bad score...just a couple of good actors there.

I hope they both lose to be honest, because they are not even the best on their categories.

That's more like it!

The only other Best Actor nominee I've seen is Michael Keaton for Birdman. And Redmayne totally outshines him. And based on trailers/clips alone, I haven't seen anything that I imagine being stronger than his performance. But I don't want to commit to that until I've seen all the nominees. Just a hunch.

And in the Best Actress Category, I've only seen Gone Girl. And, yeah, no contest. Felicity Jones is leagues better than Rosamond Pike. But I fully expect that Julianne Moore will win and deserves to win. The trailer alone destroyed me. I haven't seen the performance, but I'd be willing to bet it's better than Jones's.

Question for anyone who saw Jupiter Ascending in the theater - how was the trailer for Everest? I am currently reading Into Thin Air and just discovered that they made it into a movie.

While i dont quite liked Birdman, Keaton is a winner there, followed by Bradley Cooper and Redmayne close. But team keaton here...

As for the actress..Jones was great. I would say it was better than Redmayne but yeah, i guess its Julianne Moore right?
Actually Reese Whiterspoon deserves more the award than those two.

Birdman is the better movie, hands down. And Keaton brings it. But there's just no comparison. The work Eddie Redmayne does is absolutely brilliant.

I prefer Boyhood. Birdman is...just a mess. And its a mess that wants to be a clever one.

I liked Boyhood. But other than the gimmick, its a fairly unremarkable movie. I can't find one messy thing about Birdman that isn't perfectly intentionally messy in all the best ways.

And I'm not sure why people keep using the word "clever" as a bad word when they talk about Birdman.
