Not having cable and seeing this thread popup every week kills me bit by bit.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Don't worry about it, this season is nothing special.

Oh I liked it too.
If any current show doesn't necessarily benefit from being shot in HD it's this one.

I had three episodes on my DVR and got caught up last night. The Family Fight episode might have been my favorite of the past three, but I really liked The Gang Misses the Boat. Like a lot.

Dennis' meltdown in the boat episode is one of my favorite moments of the season so far.

I'm really digging his arch toward complete psychotic breakdown this season. It's been outstanding.

I get the impression they write the episodes through improv, and basically go with whatever they come up with. There are very few big laughs. They need to write more and cut more.

Charlie is garbage. He needs a new arc. Frank is the only other guy consistently bringing laughs.

I'll go ahead and respectfully disagree with you there, bub. Frank is consistently great. But Charlie has been on fire this season. 'Charlie Work' is one of the best episodes of the series and that's basically entirely him. The premiere episode was outstanding and largely because of Charlie. And 'The Gang Misses the Boat' had some huge Charlie laughs -- particularly his hooking up with Dee.

kinda surprised they didn't follow up on the whole charlie dee thing. guess it was just for that episode.

Yeah, I wonder if it's gonna have a payoff down the road.

I'd put last night's episode in the good column.
